Pet of the Week - “Norman Evans”

Bio: Norman (Norm) Evans may be considered “pet of the week” by the Tippecanoe Gazette, but to me, he’s the pet of a lifetime. I got Norm almost 11 years ago on my 22nd birthday.

He was an 8-week-old Miniature Australian Shepherd, but looked more like a bear cub. Norm was named after one of my favorite “celebrities” growing up, Norm Abram, star of The New Yankee Workshop and This Old House.

Instead of woodworking, Norm has mastered the craft of fetch and lazy Sunday naps. Norm has a ton of personality, often expressed with his “smile” and wagging “nub.” His brown and blue eyes score him treats all over town, but Bodega is his favorite place to stop for a bone.

Likes: Balls (more than anything on earth), walks, keeping squirrels out of the backyard

Dislikes: The mailman!
